Goldenrod

A goldenrod flower, growing on top a clay deposit.

Ceramics are tools and wares made from burned clay. Clay can be found in most biomes, simply look for the goldenrod plant which only grows on top of clay. It is also used to make ceramic tool molds, which are used to make low tier metal tool heads.

Ceramics are made by holding at least 5 clay in the hand, and then right-clicking. This will prompt the molding interface, where clay can be shaped into various items, similar to the knapping interface. Use the clay interface to shape the ceramic product you want. 5 clay will be consumed in this process, regardless of whether a clay item was produced or not.

Then, heat the clay molds in a pit kiln. Place the shaped clay in the pit kiln by holding it in your hand and shift + right-clicking in the bottom of the pit, then load up the kiln and light it up. When the pit kiln has finished burning, you can then retrieve your ready ceramic products.
