Chicken are a peaceful mob in TFC, like in vanilla Minecraft. They breed using nestboxes, if both male and female chicken are near the box. Eggs in the nestbox can be removed and used as food. Chicken are familiarized by feeding them grains. Sneaking and right-clicking on the chicken will pluck a single feather from it, dealing 25HP damage to it - thus it is possible to kill it by overplucking. Familiarity is also reduced when plucked. Keeping the animal well fed will allow it to regenerate lost health. When slaughtered, feathers, bones and chicken meat is dropped.
